The two plays to compare and contrast are Richard III - by William Shakespeare, Doctor Faustus - by Christopher Marlowe Compare and contrast the way evil is portrayed in the two plays. The thesis should answer three questions: 1. How is evil portrayed in play one? 2. How is evil portrayed similarly or differently in play two? 3. What does this difference tell us about English culture? Should include a comment about a change that occurred between the medieval era and the Renaissance (or something that stayed the same) It should make a case that Shakespeare or Marlowe inherited a certain method of portraying evil from medieval drama, or that they did something totally new BE AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE AND STATE THE CLAIMS AS SIMPLY AS POSSIBLE!!! USE EXAMPLES AND ANALYZE THEM AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE!! Discuss the similarities and differences between Richard III and Doctor Faustus
