For the final project, you will discuss the sociological aspect of a topic covered in the course (e.g., healthcare for disadvantaged populations, uninsured). You will compare and contrast this issue in the United States with the experiences of at least two other countries. Your paper should include: Demographic information and the present political situation of the countries. The current health status of the citizens, as well as a brief history of the development of the current health system. A discussion of the various components of the system. These should include, but are not limited to, financing, resources, delivery, healthcare spending, quality, and access. A discussion of the key challenges that may cause hardship in resolving the issues. Explore what has already been done and propose a plan for change. Your paper should be 6 to 8 pages in length (1500 to 2200 words) and should be prepared in APA style, including a title page and references page. Provide outside scholarly sources. World Health Organization and/or embassy websites may be useful, in addition to current scientific literature.
